Conflict Coaching in Organizations
Working in a one-on-one coaching format, John supports people in leadership positions using NVC skills to return to presence and calm center when in negative reaction, and effectively communicate and resolve conflict with others in high stakes situations. These skills are a practice of mindful awareness, dropping out of the mind's reactive patterning into somatic (body) experiencing, and conscious connection with universal qualities of human excellence and higher potentials. It is then listening, expressing, and acting from this place of internal centeredness and ground.

Conflict Facilitation & Team Building for Groups/Organizations
This offer is based in facilitation of group/team communication, but includes and incorporates elements of mediation and skills training. John uses the NVC skills to facilitate group meetings, preferably day-long and multi-day sessions/retreats/off-sites, with a focus on supporting open, authentic dialogue about the real issues, tensions, breakdowns affecting the quality and productivity of the work space. In the process, John directs, coaches, and models communication of honest expression without criticism, blame, or demand, and listening that maintains connection and understanding regardless how the speaker is communicating. This process would also be an opportunity for people to express appreciation to each other of actions taken and what is working well. The goals of this process are twofold - (1) to foster interpersonal clearing, connection, and team work in the context of larger organizational issues, and (2) to learn and experience the skills of NVC in action with John's support and coaching.

"If I were to summarize in one sentence the single most important principle I have learned in the field of interpersonal relations, it would be this: Seek first to understand, then to be understood. This principle is the key to effective interpersonal communication."
Stephen Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

"We've all had those perfect moments, when things come together in an almost unbelievable way. Over the years my curiosity has grown, particularly about how these experiences occur collectively within a group or team of people. I have come to see this as the most subtle territory of leadership, creating conditions for 'predictable miracles.'"
Joseph Jaworski, Synchronicity: The Inner Path of Leadership
